The woman behind the hard hat
Carly Steiman is a licensed Red Seal electrician with 18 years of experience, a serial entrepreneur, and one of Canada's most vocal advocates for women in the skilled trades.
She founded Lady Electric, a female-led electrical company serving Vancouver, BC. She created the Tradeswomen Calendar & Exhibit - a national campaign placing images of real women in trades into schools across Canada, covered by CBC and Global News and nominated for a YWCABC Women of Distinction Award.
She is also building Workbee Home Services, a home maintenance operating system designed to make home ownership easier for families.
"I don't just want a seat at the table. I want to build the table, add some lighting, and host a community dinner to listen and learn."
